Welcome to Weigh~Less Wednesday...I hope everyone is still doing great. Please except my apology of not posting last week...I was busy taking care of my daughter and grandbaby. They are doing great...Thanks for your prayers!

I have not reach my mini goal yet...have 2 more pds to go. I want to encourage you all to NOT give up! Keep on going with your good work of eating healthy and exercise! Thumb up for YOU!

Have you found a partner to help you reach your everyday challenge...My challenge for you to do 1 extra thing you can do to make your goals to be reach.

Yesterday...My friend and I order one meal at MiCasita (mexican place). We split it and shared...We were satified and full. It's was just enough for us and we did not overeat. Great choices we did...We were so proud of ourselves. Drink plenty of water...and try eating 1 grapefruit a day.

Next week I will share a healthy recipe with you all...Have a great week. Proud of YOU!

Weigh~Less Wednesday

It's Weigh~Less Wednesday....I am so sorry for being late..."Better than Late than Never"
My week was great...I lost 2.8 pds. Hope you all did great! Keep on going...Set your mini goal every week....I met mine! And SET another mini goal for this week...

If you got off the track...Just get right back on and dust yourself off...Keep staying on track and don't look back! You CAN do it!

If you did great...I am so PROUD of you! Way to GO!!! Please share with me on my commnents how you did...Would love to hear from you.

Tips for the week....Make sure you are drinking all your water for the day. Try some new vegetables or fruit that you never have tried...that way you don't get bored by just eating the same things. It make the world different to me. I also put lemon in my water and unsweetened tea to give its a flavor.

I have been so busy with my new grandbaby...Kylie Mae finally got here on Friday, Sept. 23rd. 7:16 am... She weigh 10 pds 2oz. 21 inches long. I will post pictures later this week. She is so precious and beautiful! We just love her...Mama and baby are doing just fine...I have the greatest son~in~law who is a wonderful husband and daddy to my girls.

Welcome to Weigh~Less Wednesday! Let's get started...Weigh in, Measure yourself, and Set mini goal each week...Who's the boss? YOU ARE!!!
Eat healthier foods like fruits,vegetables,and proteins (grilled or bake) NO FRIED...FATTEN...SWEETS! .The main thing of all is....DRINK WATER (8 to 10~ 8oz. a day).

Tips I learned at Weigh Watchers...
Words to avoids on menu...
Au gratin, battered, breaded, buffalo, crispy, fried, and scalloped.

Words for healthier choice on menu ... grilled, baked, boiled, poached, broiled, steamed, and roasted.

EXERCISE... 3X or more a week for 30 minutes. You CAN do it! As you progress each week...you can do more minutes. Don't get discourage if you stay the same or gain...You will build your muscles first...then it's burn fats~ YOU will lose inches...I guaranteed you that!! Ready let's go....ride bike, walk, dance, zumba, arobic, swim, run, jump rope, lift weigh...whatever is best for YOU. KEEP MOVING!

It has been a long journey for me but it's worth it! I have lost 57 pds. 55 inches totals thru my journey....But now I have started a mini goal each week...and it has work better for me. I weigh everyday to keep me on track...and weigh in on Wed. and set another goals. If I don't reach it...I just keep on going. Don't give up! You do what's best for you... if you want to wait and weigh in on Wednesday every week to mark your mini goal away. Keep a journey or diary for yourself.... We CAN do it!

Reese's Cup Fudge

Reese's Cup Fudge

Need:
1 pkg.~ Vanilla Candy~Coating
1 pkg.~ 12 oz Semi~Sweet Chocolate
1 Jar ~ Creamy Peanut Butter (18 oz)
Wax paper
(option: fat~free or regular peanut butter)

Put a sheet of wax paper on 9 x 13 sheet pan...Make sure the wax paper cover the side (folded up) of the pan...

Put candy~coating in large microwave bowl...

Microwave candy coating for 1/2 to 1 min. May have to keep checking on it and Stir till all melted...Be careful not to scorch it...Some microwave have tendency to melt slowly or overheat...

Add the jar of peanut butter to the melting vanilla candy~coating...Mix well till blend all together....

Pour the mix in the pan over the wax paper...Make sure the wax paper cover the side of the pan...

Put 12 oz of semi~sweet chocolate in a small microwave bowl...

Melt the chocolate about 1/2 seconds...it may take it longer..Check and Stir till melted...Just be careful because it tend to scorch if overheated...

The chocolate will be melted and thick...so I put tablespoon in places...then I take a butter knife and swirl it all around...till it all mix on top in swirl design...Chill in refrigerator for 3 hrs uncover....then take it out...cut in squares...(make 3 dozens)
Note: This candy have to be refrigerated till serving time....So ususally I put it on serving tray with wax paper on top and cover in clear plastic wrap ahead or put it in container with wax paper in between in layers....Refrigerate & Ready to go!

Great for church and party events.
Hope you will enjoy it...I can guarantee you it won't last long...So Yummy!!!

Before and After Journey...Still going

Before and After pictures from September 2007 to January 2011...I was so unhappy and miserable with my weigh...now I am feeling great and still have more to go to reach my goal....I am so blessed to have friends and family to support me all the way through my journey...

It has been long and slow.journey...I would lose and then would gain it back. It was back and forth...Never gave up! I just kept on trying... Just brush myself off and got back on track...It's taking me this long to get 54 pds off. I keep reminded myself to just keep going and never look back....

The best thing I do... is to get rid of the 'FAT' clothes so Iwon't get back into it again. I get some clothes from my sister that gotten too big for her. My sister, Amy has been doing her weigh journey for 1 1/2 years.....She is my role model. I am so proud of her...She has lost 57 pounds since Jan 2010.

I have lost 54 pounds since 2007.....Slow and still going. I will reach my goal one day...Most of my weigh lost was on my own...and the support of my family and friends. Now I am doing Weigh Watchers. Great plans to stay on for lifetime...I have great support from my groups and my teacher, Darleen Beech. And most of all my family and friends support me too! So please pray for me while I continue to this journey for my health issues...I'm getting healthy and making right choices!

Start today for YOU! Get healthy,Exercise,and make right choices! You CAN do it! Together we CAN do it!

I will post every week on How I am doing? And will post good tips! It will be on 'Weigh~Less Wednesday'

Tamale' Casserole

8x8 casserole dish or 8x12 ~ (double the recipe)
2 cans of Tamale
1 pks shredded mild cheddar cheese (2 cups)
1 can rotels tomatoes
1 refried beans

Preheat oven 350*
In a bowl...mix 1 cups of cheese, rotel tomatoes, and refried beans together well....Place mixture in a casserole dish. Then take the tamales and unwrap...place each one in the dish on top of the mixture till it all cover...put little remaining of the juice(1/2 cups) on top of the tamale...just enough to keep it moist.
Cover the dish before you place it in the oven(350*) for 30 minutes...Then take it out...uncover and put about 1/2 to 1 cups shredded cheese on top ...Put it back in the oven... uncover for 10 minutes or cheese melted (lightly brown) Enjoy!

Under it...is a fruits plate that Debbie also gave me...

The platter on the left was made by my daughter,Kandi...

My parents gave each of us this gift for Christmas last year for our family. Talking about some good ole' jelly....Mmmm! They were delicious on biscuit and toast.

They order them from Big Swamp Mayhaw Farm at 164 Hughes Road in Collins, MS. You can call in orders and have it shipped to your home. 601 722-4612 Great gifts for Christmas!

My mother got some materials and cut them in round shape...then she put it on top and tied ribbons around the lid. She bought some baskets from dollar store. Then she put the jelly in the basket with christmas candy. ....Cutest gifts! We all love it! Now to my teacup....This is one of my favorite teacup that I use to drink coffee. My friend gave it to me for Christmas~ 1994. I have cobalt blue collections and she got it for me. She knew it would look great with all my cobalt blue whats~not. For years I just use it for decoration.

His name was Fleming, and he was a poor Scottish farmer. One day, while trying to make a living for his family, he heard a cry for help coming from a nearby bog. He dropped his tools and ran to the bog. There, mired to his waist in black muck, was a terrified boy, screaming and struggling to free himself. Farmer Fleming saved the lad from what could have been a slow and terrifying death.

The next day, a fancy carriage pulled up to the Scotsman's sparse surroundings. An elegantly dressed nobleman stepped out and introduced himself as the father of the boy Farmer Fleming had saved. "I want to repay you," said the nobleman. "You saved my son's life." "No, I can't accept payment for what I did," the Scottish farmer replied, waving off the offer.

At that moment, the farmer's own son came to the door of the family hovel. "Is that your son?" the nobleman asked. "Yes," the farmer replied proudly. "I'll make you a deal. Let me provide him with the level of education my own son will enjoy. If the lad is anything like his father, he'll no doubt grow to be a man we both will be proud of." And that he did.

Farmer Fleming's son attended the very best schools and in time, he graduated from St. Mary's Hospital Medical School in London, and went on to become known throughout the world as the noted Sir Alexander Fleming, the discoverer of Penicillin.

Years afterward, the same nobleman's son who was saved from the bog was stricken with pneumonia. What saved his life this time? Penicillin. The name of the nobleman? Lord Randolph Churchill.
His son's name? Sir Winston Churchill.

Updates~ Our Little Noah

PRAISE THE LORD! GOD IS GOOD!

PRAY FOR NOAH

Surgery is finished!
5:54 PM Noah is now in recovery. The surgery went very well. Everyone on the team was pleased with how everything went. Noah is still asleep and we are waiting for the moment we can go see him. Dr. Wellons was able to remove all of the new growth and all of the scar tissue as well. He is sending all of it off for pathology report. Noah has an MRI scheduled for in the morning to look at the area. He will stay in the PICU overnight and hopefully be moved to a room tomorrow.

John and Jessica wrote on the blog...

God is good! We are so thankful for every prayer and message of encouragement from so many of our friends, family and those of you we have never met. Thank you so much for loving our son.

Little Noah need our prayers

Need you all to pray for our little cousin...Noah. Our little Noah is having his second surgery to remove a brain tumor Wednesday October 13th at 1:00 PM at the Children's Hospital in Birmingham Alabama.

Please pray for his parents, grandparents, and family.

What a friend we have in Jesus

I need ya'll to continue to pray for me. Last Friday was a very sad day for me...I cried! I went to my eyes specialist for my yearly check~up. It's has been stable since 3 years...until now. My left eye has gotten worse...it is closing in to the end of my tunnel vision. My right eye is still the same. I was so down about my left eye until I realize that I needed to trust in Jesus. God has a plan for my life.

Nineteen years ago I was told that I would be totally blind in ten years....Here I am...still have my sight. God is good! No matter what we face...Jesus will carry us through it....What a friend we have...is JESUS! Amen! Praise the Lord!

Continue to pray for me and I will pray for you. . Please understand that my blogging will be limited. Celebrating Our 28th Wedding Anniversary

Today is our 28th Anniversary....We were wed in a double wedding at Magnolia Baptist Church August 14, 1982...First and only double wedding in that church's history...by Dr. Frank Harmon and Dr. David Sellers.

We have always been so close...I am 4 years older than Amy

Everybody always thought she was the oldest...because she was so bossy....Ha ha! She would tell us (siblings) what to do. And we do it.... She is a blessing to us....We love you..Amy!

We have had up and down...cry and laughters....But our love has grown stronger since we first married....God has blessed us for 28 years. Looking forward to many more years to come....

My friend sent this to me...I wanted to share with ya'll...
As I was reading this videos....I was brought back to the memories of good ole' days...What a wonderful memories I had in my childhood years...I would not trade it in for nothing....I wish my child and the other kids could have experience what we had....just for one day without the cell phone, computer and videos games. It's was the good ole' days with lots of family and friends times.... Lots of love, caring, and laughters....back in those days.

Our neighbors and friends were very close in relationship as family to us. What a treasure of memories to hold in our heart... I am so blessed to have such a wonderful life. Hope ya'll enjoyed it as well as I did....I'm proud to be a Vintage girl....ENJOY!

Wedding Bells is ringing in Nashville

Can't wait to be with family and friends for their special weekends...

Hope is my baby sister's daughter...She just graduated in May. She is looking for a teaching job...She loves childrens...She will be a great teacher. I am so proud of her.

We are so blessed to have a parents who love each other so much. Today is their Anniversary...52 years.

We love you ...Mama and Daddy!

We are counting our blessing today....My brother was in CCU in Franklin, TN. He came home today.... He came up to TN early with my sister (Jenny) and her husband to visit her son (Adam) and our sister (Amy). My niece is getting married next Saturday~July 10th so they wanted to help before the wedding. The hospital that my brother stayed at is a GREAT hospital with GREAT cardiologists. They have checked his heart with many various tests. His report has states that his heart is normal.

The doctors change his blood pressure medicine...but they are still puzzled about the way his heart beat is irregular. His cardiologist wants to see him Tuesday. They are concerned about an irregular heartbeat. So........ half of the family is in TN and they are celebrating with a cookout at my sister Amy's house. The rest of the family are here in MS and we will join with them on Friday 9th to celebrate my neice wedding~Hope and Nick. We are counting our blessings! Please pray for Mark and our family. Off to see my mama and daddy...to celebrate their anniversary. We are going to celebrate our 4th of July on Monday....You all have a great 4th of July! Blessing to you all! Katherinellen

Like my sister(Jenny) said....My daddy doesn't define success as, giving his family a big house, the coolest cars, lots of money, boats/toys, and expensive vacations. My daddy defines success as having his wife, children, and grandchildren spend eternity in heaven with him! He provided for us finacially, but most all he made sure we gave our hearts to Jesus. I love you daddy!

Like my sister said (Amy) I love my Daddy! When I was a little girl my daddy use to take us to the park and he would push us on the swing until he couldn't push anymore! There was never any doubt growing up that my daddy loved the Lord, loved my mama and love us kids! I am so blessed!

I want to express my thanks for your prayers,thoughts and supports....I appreciate you all so much...Haven't be able to get back to you...Most of my family is here from out of town and state....I will come visit as soon as I can...I hope you all understand....Need all my blogger friends to pray for our family....my brother~in~law(Marlin) passed away Sunday night...The funeral is tomorrow (Thurs)

I will be away probably for about a week...Have company staying here with us. My sister~in~law is here too! They brought him up here (Hometown) to be buried...

Today is about my gifts for my Mama for Mother's Day...
I went to Wal Mart and found this teapot planter for $20....so I just love it...so I decided to plant some type of beautiful flower...So I had my husband helping me to try to find the perfect blooms for this cute teapot planter...

Now I don't know if any of your husband like mine...He hate to shop in Wal Mart...so he was willing to help me to find a perfect gift for my Mama...I am blessed to have a patience husband...He is my best friend and my soulmate...After looking for 30 minutes....I couldn't make up my mind..lol We finally found the perfect blooms ... Geranium for $8.95
We finally got home....I immediately started my project...I was so excited with my great idea...
The Geranium blooms was so pretty and vibrant red....it's beautiful!

Ta~Da...I did it! So proud of myself...It's turn out so Cute! My Mama loves it! Hope everyone enjoy stopping by...Don't forget to visit Lady Katherine/friends and Susan/friends...

I'm Back...Winter in the Past...Spring in the Air!

I'm back...I 'm sorry I haven't been blogging. I'm doing fine...just been busy...Sorry I had everyone worried. I am better with my health problem.
Dr. having me come every 3 months for check up about my kidney/bladder.
Here I am.....the updates pictures above was taken last week.
I am ready for Spring! I have been doing the weigh watchers, eating healthy foods, exercise, and cardio. every day
Lost 16 pds since January...Whoo Hoo!

I want to show ya'll the pictures of our snow in South Mississippi on Feb 12th and 13th....It's started snowing on my mama birthday Feb 11th .....Her wish for her birthday came true... She was so happy! Some of the pics was taken at my house and my parents house....It was beautiful! We also made snowmans and snowwoman....LOL

We had one cold winter here this season....

The weather was crazy here....One day it would be 50*...then it would turn cold again below 30*...We had another day of snow since this one...but it was about an inch...but melted before we got up....We had snow flurries twice in Feb. and twice in March......We have seen enough snow....I pray for all those who is snowed in this winter....I had talk to my friend who live in North Dakota last Sunday.....She said they still have snow but it is melting slowly...She was wondering what was going on dow here....I told her it was mid 60*. I told her I was ready for Spring....after we got this snow.....Those who live up North... Letting you know that Spring is in the air...

Trees are blooming....Dogwood,Japenese Magnolia,Pear...and many more... The flowers are budding...but haven't blooms yet.....There are some tulips blooming in downtown...Hope I will have some pics soon....Maybe this weekends....

It's suppose to be in mid 70* starting today through Sunday!

We have been celebrating since Saturday Feb 6th....My sister was 47 years old...She feels great! My birthday was Tues. Feb. 9th...I turned 51...I feel fabulous! My mama birthday is today Feb 11th....She feels Blessed. She is 71 years old.

This weekends is all about the Saints and the Vikings....This weekend is the NFC Championship game at New Orleans Superdome....
Most Mississippian have been the Saints Fans for years and we all still are.......We are about 120 miles from New Orleans......We also have our QB Brett Favre who play for the Vikings....He is from South Mississippi (Gulfcoast). He is currently living in Hattiesburg....Our own hero.... QB from USM Golden Eagles in Hattiesburg.

In Hattiesburg, Laurel and other town ...you will see the Vikings and Saints Fans supporting their team....wearing their colors......black and gold or purple...
This is a Southern Super Bowl here... ....
If you wondering who I'm cheery for.......Well, It's the Saints....I have been their fans for a long time....Oh! Don't get me wrong...Brett Favre is great! But he's already have a ring and been to the Super Bowl twice....So tomorrow night I am going to be glued to the TV ....LOL
Like everyone said....Whoever wins will be the one who was the best team for the Super Bowl.....

"It's Cold Out There Baby"

It's cold outside baby......here in South Mississippi. It's time for some Hot Chocolate Baby.....Mmmm!

At 7 this morning...it was 17 degrees....(wind chill 5*) ...Had to get me some hot chocolate this morning...While I was drinking my chocolate...I was thinking of ya'll. Hope ya'll are warm and cuddling in your cozy home... Praying for ya'll. This is not for me...especially the wind chill. I think I can handle the cold....if it wasn't for the wind chill...Wish we had snow...I love snow ......As I was sitting here...I was thinking back in 1977....I was in High School....It's came a blizzards.......We had ice and snow....We made us a 'Big Snowman' . Dress his eyes with big black button, his mouth with red redishes in form of a smile ...and a carrot for his nose......Put branch for his arms and a scarf around his neck.....hat on his head...We were so proud of our snowman...He was as tall as we were.....About 5 feet....That is the biggest one we have made. Then we gather up some snow..... made ice cream. We put condense milk,vanila flavor and snow together ....We had us some homemade ice cream....Mmmm! Yummy! Lol....

Since 1985....My daughter and I have made 4 snowmans....We don't get snow very often in South Mississippi...I hope we will have snow one time before Spring....Love to play and make snowman and ice cream....LOL

I'm just so thankful ...we didn't have a ice storms....so I can handle this. Right now.... it is 25 (wind chill 14) and sunshining....Yoo Hoo! We are in Hard Freeze Warning until Sunday...All weekends it going to be 30 High 15 Low. Hurry up...Spring! Needs some warm days, flowers,and birds singing...

Artic Blasts.....

Our New Year 2010 in the South have been COLD since New Year Eve! I thought this was cold until the weather man said we are expecting this Artic Blasts coming our way...Brrrr! I'm not sure if I'm ready for 'Ice'....Let it Snow instead of Ice. Would love to snuggle up in my comfy sofa and drink my hot chocolate....... watch the snowfall.

I am thinking about all my blogfriends and friends who live up North...I feel for ya! I have been ready for the beach....Lol I will be praying for all of ya'll who suffer such a brutal cold winter....

We have been below 30 degrees at night....High 40. Now we are going to expect to be in the ..Low 15 High 30 That's COLD in South Mississippi. We had to get everything ready today in case it was worse than they predicted....Been through Ice Storms before.....It's worst than going through Hurricane to me. What so bad is...I live in all electric home....ummm! I should have thought about having a fireplace. Oh Well! If the worse come to worse...I can go next door to my BIL...They have wood heater....So ya'll stay inside and stay WARM!

Struggling in the Storms of Life

When we go through the storms of life ...we asked, Why is this happening to me? We feel like we're all alone in the storms of the flooded water and can not hold on......
We are reminded that our Lord is waiting for us to call on him.... We need to put our head up high and stretch our hand out of the flooded water ......He will take our hand and will not let us go. ..He is our strength,comfort, peace and hope. He will never forsake us or leave us....God is L♥VE !
He is waiting for us to call on him always. Let not get caught up with our storms of Life ....and lean to him to carry it all for us. Put our trust in him.... He loves us so much. Let us celebrate our hope and love for him....
God is so good to us....Amen!

Frosty The Snowman

Frosty the Snowman came by Saturday morning at 12:30...He didn't stay very long... By 6 am .... It was melting.....Maybe we will have more snow for Christmas.....Dreaming of a White Christmas....

This is my flowers bed...If you will look close ...you will see my pink and yellow roses....

When I came home from Hattiesburg Friday before we were going to have snow....I could not believe my eyes...There they were...... beautiful blooms! I got those roses for Cottage Farms from QVC. They are sub-zero roses...

Well....I got to go finish my Christmas decorating....you all have a great day!

Just want to tell ya'll that I appreciate your prayers....My Urologist said the MRI was normal... Abnormal cells was not cancer cells...So he has given me another round of meds....Hopefully this will take care of the problems. Have to go back in 3 wks to check it again....Thanks for your pryers...keep on praying...I am feeling much better. Right now I'm sitting here waiting for Frosty the Snowman to come visit us here in South Mississippi...We are expecting SNOW! They have predicted that we will have 1 to 3 inches of snow tonight and morning... I will take pictures...And will get back in blogging this weekends...Love ya'll

Just letting everyone know that Noah went home yesterday...He will have to go back Monday...to have surgery on his arm on Wed....due to the burn when He got his MRI... You can read the updates about Noah on the right of my sidebar...Thank you all for praying for Noah and his family. We give Thanks for all the miracles that God given to Noah....Praise the LOrd!

My Aunt Joann is doing great...but she recieve a bad news when her husband (My Uncle) fell and broke his femur/hip when He was visiting her at the hospital. They both are recovery together at the same hospital. Bless their hearts...
My BIL, my mama, sisters, brother , my SIL and my husband are doing much better. Now...I told you all I would give you my updates....I have been having problems with my bladder....Had many tests in the past two weeks.... then I had my MRI yesterday ....and going to see my Dr. today...I will let you know when I get my results when I get home.... I have not felt like blogging or on my facebook much...Because I have been dealing with the Vertigo...on top of my bladder problems....I am much better ......I will let ya'll know all my results when I get back today from the Dr. in Hattiesburg. On top of it all......We are expecting SNOW here in South Mississppi this afternoon and tonight.....Do you believe that?.......LOL I will take pictures....suppose to get 1 to 3 inches of snow....WOW!

Thank you all for praying for me....Sorry it's took me so long to get back with you. It has been hestic around here....Lots of family health issues. My tests went fine....just minor problems...taking medicine right now...going back for follow-up this Friday 20th. If the medicine didn't help....I will have to have more medicine/tests...MRI. Thanks for all of you....who came and visit ....each one of you are special in my heart...Thanks for your prayers... I will get back posting soon....I have a lots going on right now....Need you all to pray for my husband ...He is sick. My BIL..(Mark) is having a heart cath. Monday 23rd...this is my sister husband and she also is sick with the Flu.... My Aunt Joann(my mom sister) is having heart surgery on Monday 23rd. My brother and my mom is sick....My BIL (Marlin) battleing with cancer....he just got out of hospital....When it rain it pour....Just keep me and my family in your prayers. I haven't really felt like blogging....and I miss you all soooo much.......I'm feeling better and I will soon be back....I just need to take care of my hubby right now....

Mississippi Magnolia Southern Belles met at Corner Bakery Cafe last Friday...Sept. 25, 2009....for our luncheon. It was an exciting day for me and all the Belles. ....Of course we missed those that was unable to come & join us on this

'Special' day.......But we are planning to do this again as soon as Lady Katherine recover from her surgery that is schedule for this month. Please keep Lady Katherine in your prayers...Thank you Lady Katherine for hosted this special day for us. You are so 'SPECIAL' to all of us.

Before I start....I would like to tell you about Debra at It Came To Pass... I met her 3 weeks ago ....She found me and contacted me (e-mail) She told me she was from Laurel. I was so excited when I heard she live within a mile from me. We met at McAllister with Rosemarie at Sugarplum Cottage...three weeks before we were going to meet with Lady Katherine and the other Belles. It's a small world! And to top it off about being in small world....I ask Debra ....What was her last name? And when I heard her name....I said ...."Do you have a son name Ben? And she said Yes! I said...OH! My Goodness! Ben(her son) and Kandi(my daughter) were in Kindergarten together. And I remember that we all prayed for Ben's Mom. Debra was going through Chemo-treament. It's so amazing.....How we got connected again....Just Amazing! We had a great luncheon and made plan that we were all going to ride together to Flowood, MS. ...on Sept.25th to meet Lady Katherine and all the Mississippi Southern Belles.

When we arrived in Flowood, MS......at Corner Bakery Cafe. This beautiful tablescapes was waiting for us. Lady Katherine and Donna did this beautiful tablescapes. And Lady Katherine and Christine made a 'Cute Lil Happy' for us. It was soooo sweet of them! Lady Katherine made the arrangement with her gourds she harvest...and bought the three Lil Pie pumkins to add to the arrangement....It was so Beautiful! Love the Sunflowers! She did a fantastic job!

I got my finger smash about 2 month ago and lost my nail....It's taking so long to grow out...I was told it will take 6 months....I forgot to put a band-aid on before I left home......Look terrible on this picture...Oh Well!

Donna,Me,& Christine ~ They were so sweet and precious too!
Donna live about 1 hours from me...and I do visit her town every once in awhile....I'll have to give her a call when I go visit again.... Donna is the one who help Lady Katherine with the beautiful tablescape....Christine live about 2 1/2 or 3 hours from me...My friend is from where she live....Have to go with my friend to visit Christine again....She is the one that made the fudge goodies....It was delicious!

We had a wonderful lunch....We talk, laugh, and enjoy each other company for 3 hours. We didn't even have time to go shopping...Maybe we will next time. We all wish we could had more time to visit....We all had other plans to get back to at home..... It was an exciting day for me....Great memories to hold and cherish! I haven't been participating for awhile....Been under the weather....I want you all to keep me in your prayers...Having tests...to solve my kidney problems.....Thanks you all! Today I'm sharing to you about my fishing trip over to my neighbor...Along the way I capture my flowers in my garden and found these beautiful blooms...This is my neighbor pond...Do you see what I see...If you wondering... What in the world is a dog house doing in the middle of the pond....Well...he put the little house for his ducks...So they can have somewhere to getaway from the wild and neighbor dogs....And here I was with my camera...they disappeared out of nowhere....They were nowhere to be found.....I hope I will capture them next time....He has about 7 ducks and 8 baby ducks...I really not sure how many...This is my guess....And also you will see the pond was so low in water....This summer has been so dry and hot.....So here I am going fishing ...Let me tell you a secret...I haven't fish since I was 12 years old...Here I am at 50. LOL...I am not the type to put a worm or cricket on the hook...Yes..I am a city gal...but slowly being a country gal....LOLI really enjoy this day....It was so nice and cool that day....
Look at the reflection on the pond ...And the sun was setting for the day.... This is my friend ...Donna. Now she loves fishing...It's one of her favorite hobby she enjoy so much...

Hey....Donna....Did you catch any? Yes! .....Got two small bass.... She told me these were babies...I had one and it got away....Oh well!.....We are going fishing again soon.....But we are going to try the 'old timer ways' with cane pole.....Oh Boy! I have been busy this summer and haven't been able to participate as much as I wanted to...Today I'm sharing the photo of my creation that I made for my friend ~Sonya for her birthday a monthe ago....I use to sell Uppercase Living last year. And I had some letters I had in stocks. So what I did ...I went to Lowe's to get the board...painted off white...distressed it. Then I took this uppercase words transfer and place on the board...then I bought this little pot at Hudson's and glue it on the board...then got some foam and flowers...and decorated the flowers in the pot. Sonya loves it! The flowers had a little pink roses....It's kinda of peachy-pink. I was proud of myself with this project I did...Got the ideas from my Lil Sister....she is more creative than I am. HAPPY ANNIVERSARY MY SWEETHEART!

We have been married for 27 years...Jerry is a wonderful christian husband and a father. We met in March on a blind date on a double date with his brother...... Went out for dinner...then to a movie...then bowling. Had a wonderful time together...... That night....He told me that he didn't think that there were anymore christian girl left...until he met me. .. I told him that I have been looking for a wonderful christian man to marry for the rest of my life.....We got engazed....in one month....(smiling) I know what you are wondering.....Did I know for sure if he was the one. Yes....I did! We share many up and down for 27 years.....We promise each other to cherish and to love one another through richer or poorer & sickness and health until death do us aparts....We made the vow of promise to our Lord! We had a double wedding with my little sister and brother-in-law.... My sister also met her christian husband on March....and got engazed in one months too! (smiling) We set our wedding date separate at first....then I ask my sister....Why don't we have a double wedding? She got so excited.....and said ....Are you serious! I said ...Yes! So we had our wedding together......Precious memories to hold and share....with my lil sister. She and her husband are also celebrating their Anniversary today too! My sister and I have been so blessed to have a wonderful christian husband and a father who love us so much. And we love them too! Tonight I have a date with my hubby.....And going to be blessed for many years to come to continue our love together and to grow more spiritual relationship together......until death do us apart....May Our Lord bless us....and continue to be with us through up and down.........Happy Anniversary Jerry! I Love You!

This is my pink rose....I took this photos at 1 pm ...and then went back out and took the same pink rose at 5 pm....Look at how it has open up since earlier of the day... It you try to unfold the rose.... it will fall apart...That the way our life is...we cannot unfold what God has plan for us...We have to trust in God to unfold our plan for us...I found this poem to share........

This is a pretty flower I found in my backyard...and have no clue what the name of it....I also have this plant (below) Don't know what the name of it either...This plant came up in my flower bed....I did not plant this....It's just came up out of nowhere..... .Ummm! Maybe the birds carry the seed....and drop down in my flower bed....It's amazing how God will use birds, butterfly,and many things to continue to grow his beauty everywhere...

Hello my friends....I have been so busy this summer... It's almost over...soon Autumn will be here. My favorite summertime memories....is eating watermelon and tomatoes sandwich with family and friends....Mmm!

Soon ...there will be no fresh tomatoes out of the garden..and Smith County Watermelon from Mississippi....Going to miss it.... until next Summer. My Outdoor is about our family get together on "Fourth of July" We are so thankful for our freedom... Enjoy being with our family and friends for the weekends of "Fourth of July" We barbeque and had watermelon... It was in the 104* that day with heat index of 107* We waited until 5 to have our get together...so it wouldn't be so unbearable... We were at my brother-in- law shop(open-air building) .....After we ate...My great niece heard us saying...let's have watermelon....Boy!....Did she get up at the table waiting to have her some watermelon...She loves watermelon...The best place to get watermelon is in Smith County (Magee & Mize) Every year they have Watemelon Festivals there....They are so juicy and sweet...Mmmm!

There she(Alyssa) is....She could not wait to get her mouth in it...Her mom(Amanda) is on the left...and my daughter(Kandi) is on the right. Alyssa will be two years old next month...I don't have a grandbaby yet...But one day ...when time come ...we will...Alyssa is like having a grandbaby...she's so lovable....She has her mouth full...Let' me see if I can do it all by myself...Mmmmmmm!She is so Cute! This is priceless...This is my Sister -in -law(Sybil) and me......She came up for the visit from Pascagoula, MSThis is my hubby(Jerry) with his sister (Sybil)....They were enjoying the food....Mmmm! Good Barbeque!Here she is...after being clean up....She loves to pose for pics....She wanted to ride her little pink bike...and Jack is watching over her....

We had a great time of fellowship with family...I had more pics...but I limited...just too many....So I hope I didn't bored ya'll...Haven't been participating since two weeks....Summer is so busy around here...Thanks for stopping by...And don't forget to stop by Susan and other participants...

Celebrating A Birthday.....

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SONYA!This is my very special friend who is celebrating her birthday today. This photos was last year when we celebrated her birthday at the bowling alley that we all love to do...Had a blast! We had a lunch....then bowl....then play pool. Sonya,Dee and I are team in the bowling league...I could not find the pics of us three. I will take pics when we get together....We are going to celebrate again this year on Saturday....Haven't decided what we have planned...but we will have a blast whatever we do. Sonya is so special to me and Dee. We share so many happy memories and some tears. I am sharing about my little sweet gift I got from my daughter Kandi. She made this cute little pot for me for Mother Day!
I love polka-dots......She did it in Pink & Blue. I put it in my computer room...She made this little pot... design & painted it...and sign her name with Love ... I Love it! It's mean alots to me because it was design by her sweet hands....It's very Special...and will be pass down to her child one day....She also made me a platter for my birthday...It has grapes on it...My kitchen is decorated with "Fruit of Love"... I will show it on another posts...This is the name of the place that you go to make pottery & design your own..."Doodle Bugz" in Laurel, MS. You also can find them on Facebook...Right now ...They have potterys for sale...Check it out! Just go to facebook and type name in and search...I don't know if they have web-sites...I will check it out and post it another day....Will show my platter then...This is a little sweet card she gave me...It has some pretty pink on it...She also had a Calla Lily (lirio De Calla) in the adorable pot. It was so pretty & purple. Well...forgot to take the picture when it was ALIVE! I think I drown it to death...I try to bring it back...The tag said the bloom time is Spring to Summer. Does that mean only in Spring season or both? Kandi came in the other day...and said Mama...Did you kill the Calla Lily? I said...Well I think I gave it too much water. She laugh so hard...and was saying Mama.... Did you read the instruction...And I said...Well ...No! I thought they love water...LOL We laught about it...I felt so bad that I killed it.....I been trying to bring it back alive...but No Luck!. Need help from the garden experts...don't know nothing about Calla Lily...I know alots about Roses and Daylillies...Any comments for advice will help...So I'm going to show you my Pink Roses I can grow....LOL

I have other color roses...but my roses are not doing that great like last year....because we are having some HOT days here in Mississippi...98-101 degrees ...Heat Index 104-107 for about 2 weeks...Many of Southern States are suffering too... We haven't had any rain here since June 4th...Need you all to do the "Rain Dance" for us...LOL. Good Ole Fresh Tomatoes

I love when summer come around....get good ole fresh tomatoes....The homegrown tomatoes are better than the store. Mmmm! They are delicious! Love tomatoe sandwich with lots of mayonaise....sometime with turkey bacon. Yesterday I had my good ole fresh tomatoe sandwich...Mmmm! Delicious! But today at lunch....I wanted some more. Uhh! Ohh! Out of bread....got to go to the store this afternoon to have my good ole fresh tomatoe sandwich tonight. That all we have been craving for is something cold or sandwiches....It's been soooo HOT here in Mississippi...In fact all Southern States are with temp in the 100. Heat index in 104-110. We haven't had rain since June 4th....we need RAIN so bad. .Tell me how you like your fresh tomatoes with. Ya'll have a wonderful weekends.....We are looking forward our COOL down...in the low 90s Whoo Hoo!

Okay....I going to tell ya'll...It's HOT!

This photo was taken yesterday (Tuesday)....When I was sitting in the car with the air conditioner on...when my friend was in the grocery store...to get two items. I was looking out ...And there that "Hot Air Balloon" on top of the service station. I was thinking...Yeah...It's HOT alright...ha ha ha Well...we have been HOT in Mississippi. It's been in the 99 to 100 degrees...105-107 heat index.....No RAIN in sight! Ohhh! we need RAIN so bad! Need a RELIEF! All of us in the South State need prayers...It's too hot for us Southern Belle!

Remember this....Use to do this at my childhood years....so FUN! Brought bacl memories....this boy was out in this HEAT....He was just closing up...it was about 1:00. Look at his Lil Stand...so sweet and cute. Can you see the house behind him...He live at this house that I always loves....(Historic Home Area in Laurel) They are some beautiful homes there...I will post it one day on Outdoor Wednesday. On my way home....we pass this bank....Look it's 100 degrees...at 2:00...Now do you believe me....It's HOT!

Monday...we went to Hattiesburg... Went to Dr. appt., lunch & bowling with friends and then went shopping. It was 101 in Hattiesburg that day....We stop for a "Happy Hour" at SONIC. ha ha ha That the closest that I will be at a Happy Hour...I don't drink...never been interesting. But that Cherry-limeaide drink was delicious! Our hair doesn't look the greatest in this HEAT! Sweatin! :O

Got home in Laurel....stop by at Aunt Margaret house to get fresh tomatoes....Mmmm! And look at her pretty yard...so CUTE!

Now....I have few flowers in my garden...They are trying to survive in this HEAT! Some more lillies....

My roses are not doing so well this year...I guess it's just too hot...watering them everyday since no RAIN in sight...More lillies

Hoping my Crepes Murtles will blooms soon with pink flowers...so I can show it next Outdoor Wednesday...until then....Have a great week and weekends....

Tubing Experience at Bogue Chitto River

Most of you know I went to tubing on the river at Bogue Chitto at McComb, MS. I got blister bad....We use sunscreen and still got blister. My worst part of my body is my poor feet. It looks bad...I have a photo of my feet at the end of this post. I have a hard time to wear shoes... So ya'll please pray for me and my friends. We got blister on our face,back,arms, feet,& legs. Dee worst part was her feet and Jennifer worse part was her back. But we had a great time....Will go back again but not very soon.. To my happy heart friends who visit me on "Pink Saturday" I had told you I would visit ya'll when I got back. I want to apologize to ya'll for not visiting ya'll yet....I am going to visit ya'll....I'm just trying to keep my feet up...because when I am on it or letting it hang down..... It's swell and hurt...Today it has water blisters on it.....Ohhh...does it hurt. Each day it gets better...Here are some photos of our tubing. ...It was 92 degrees that day.....Hot! But the water kept us cool.....Hope ya'll will enjoy the ride....Here we go.....

My Outdoor is about the canoe trip last Saturday.. I went to Black Creek in Brooklyn, MS. At first...when we started down the river....I was saying to myself..."What am I doing here?....Am I crazy!" Look at me....look scared! And my friend Dee, is just as happy as she can be. This was my first time canoeing...and I'm 50 years old. I was nervous at first...but I got okay later until at the end we hit a log. Here we go....rocking side by side....Guess what.....we made it....YEAH! We saw a lots of turtles...all sizes.....As we scrolling down...it was so peaceful....hearing birds singing...It was a Beautiful Day! We had fun! It was ONE BIG EXPERIENCE I will never forget.

This is the place where you go and sign up.... You also rent the canoe and supplies you need. Our driver, Brandon took us to the river....so here we go......And look at our driver with his hat... He's Cute! The ladies I'm with...is my friend, Dee and Donna. My husband was not feeling good...so he didn't go. I hope you will enjoy the trip....Ready!.....Let's go......

Look at my friend Dee. She just relaxing. If you notice she always smiling and laughing. She always like that. She is full of Joy. We had a visit that came on Donna hand while we was scrolling down the river....I think it some kind of dragonfly...it you notice it has a blue tail. If anyone know what this is...let us know. I went shopping for PINK.....I had a wonderful time shopping.......these items were on SALE! Love these items....but you know it might not be your style......I would like to hear your comment on how do you like these "PINK" items. You know what ...I got a secret.....I didn't really spend the money shopping....I went window shopping online. Zappos.Com

He He! I had a great time! The web-site has a link to shop for name brands clothes,shoes,watches, & purses, and more. By the way...I couldn't afford all this. I add it all up and it would cost me around $700.00. Don't get me wrong ...they are great items.... If I really wanted to buy these items.. ...it would be one of the shoes or a purse.... Love the PINK! The way the ecomony is....I need to save my money.....What do you think?

Most of ya'll know that I went to the trip to Arkansas to the Women's Seminar (Spring 2009). I haven't been the same since then... I recieve the spiritual breakthrough. God is Big... Bigger than we can imagine...that nothing is impossible for Him. My marriage, financial, my health,my family,my church,and my home is in his hand. God is in control! I'm bless to have God in my life...He always provide our needs... He tarry our pain & joy. I have recieve his GLORY ! Amen! It's so wonderful to have peace, comfort,strength,love,and joy from our Lord! What a friend we have in JESUS! When you feel like you are alone... Just reach out to Him...and He will be there to carry you through. God is Good!

I have so many pictures to show you... and I promise to share it on another post. Again...Thank you all for your prayers & support while I was not able to blog when computer was being repaired. The computer issues was resolved...And I give my God the PRAISES!

I'm Back! Missed Ya'll!

Hello my blogging friends....Missed Ya'll! Thank you all for your sweet comments and prayers. I have recieved so many comments and prayers that I am going to respond to them one by one. Give me time to get to ya'll each day.....Ya'll are so SPECIAL to me! I survived it for not having my computer for 2 months....Acer had to replace the faulty mainboard......the computer was only 7 months old. But now it running like new. Looking forward to visit each one of you soon. I want to tell ya'll that when I had a chance....I had my friend, Dee or my sister, Jenny to read my e-mail for me on their computer. And when they would read the e-mail....and tell me who it was from....I knew who you were. and knew where you live. Ya'll mean a lots to me...It so amazing how we know each other and have never met in person. i wanted to read the comment myself but I am legally blind...so I have my computer on magnify mode to visit all my e-mail. I also have friends and family on Facebook to respond to...They are so happy I'm back...Me too! . Yep! I'm on Facebook.....love to play scrabbles. Come join me! LOL! Hello my friends - I sure do miss yall alot. Thank you for leaving me sweet comments and your thoughts and prayers. I am still working on getting my computer fixed. I am at my friend's house now using her laptop. As soon as I can I'll be back on line.

I sure am missing all of my friends on the blog. I still havn't gotten my warranty issues resolved. Continue to pray that I will get it taken care of this week. The last time I posted I was getting ready to go to arkansas for a womens retreat and also to go diamond mining. I will post some pictures when I get my computer back up. update on computer problems

I'm at a friend's house now writing this cause my computer is still down. I would appreciate your prayers as office depot and acer are giving me a hard time about my warranty. Please pray that this will resolve soon so I can get back online. I appreciate your thoughts and comments.

Also, we are going on a trip this thursday to Crater of Diamonds State Park and then on to Hot Springs for another women's retreat at Brookhill Ranch. Please pray for our safety and that we will experience the "glory" of the Lord.
